A Lifelong Love Of Music

Sheridan Malone Homepage

I have been a life long fan of singing and harmony, and an ardent student of voice and vocal technique. For my musical life I've sung and played in both folk music and rock and roll groups, barbershop quartets, and played principal roles in both musical theater and opera. I've directed men's and women's choruses in barbershop harmony, and now teach voice as well. Over the years I've attended many workshops and camps including California Coast Music Camp, Cedar Run Song Workshop, Augusta Heritage, California  Bluegrass Camp,  and New Song Academy working on instrument craft, songwriting and singing harmony. I now have been a teacher at camps  like Joe Craven's RiverTunes

I grew up learning music of the 50’s, 60’s and 70’s, favoring close harmony groups like the Everly Brothers, Kingston Trio, The Mamas and The Papas, The Beatles, and Peter, Paul, and Mary. Lately I've become fond of others like the Louvin Brothers, Kate Wolf, and more. I became a singer songwriter late in life and have incorporated some of those styles into my own material.

I'm now retired in Northern California and teaching voice and ukulele, but playing regularly solo and in a very good group, "The Thin Air String Band".see the tab for samples.

This website is always a work in progress, and I'll try and keep it current as well as responding to any queries about vocal technique or harmony as best I can. Let's make more music together in this world! - Sheridan Malone
